ATE can normally be used on the silicon wafer directly or on the packaged parts directly. The device will be placed on the customized interface board with the help of a handler by the packaged parts. However, the silicon wafers will be tested directly with the help of high precision probes. ATE systems have the ability to interact with the prober or test handler to test the device under test or DUT.

We also offer handlers for testing the DUT. A test handler is the automated placement tool to which the ATE systems will typically interface with, for physically placing the DUT on the interface Test Adapter or ITA for measuring the device by the test equipment. We offer an ITA, which is the abbreviation for Interface Test Adapter for making electronic connections between the DUT and the ATE. However, this may also contain supplementary circuitry for adapting signals between the DUT and the ATE. Every ATE will have for mounting the devices.

Lastly, a socket will also be used for bridging the connection between the DUT and the ITA. We understand that the socket should survive all the demands of the production floor and needs to be replaced from time to time.

We also specialize in wafer based ATEs. They typically use a device known as prober that have the ability to mover along a silicon wafer for testing the device.

We specialize in multi site too. We advise testing multiple devices simultaneously for improving the test timings. The ATE systems we offer can support having ‘multiple sites’ in which the ATE resources can be shared by every site. Some resources may be used concurrently whereas others should be serialized to every DUT.
